One of the tabletop games I'm loving at the moment is Zombicide, I have a whole bunch of stuff to post on this game soon. However, one of my favourite game making companies has gone and thrown me a curve ball. Mantic Games recently scored the rights to make The Walking Dead as a game. Now, my gaming group will be able to quote me in saying, 'I love Zombicide, and I really don't need another Zombie game in my life'.
Having said that, this popped into my inbox this morning:
The Walking Dead: All Out War Miniatures Game. Today we're pleased to show off the first pictures of The Walking Dead: All Out War Miniatures Game.
The Walking Dead: All Out War is a boxed miniature-based wargame including 20 highly detailed collectible figurines plus game components such as character cards, equipment and loot cards, event cards, game dice with custom symbols, templates, mat and more - everything you need to play in one simple set.

Okay, first off it is based on the comic book, not the TV Show, and as much as I love the TV Show, I love the comic that little bit more. This has got me really excited, and owning a couple of Mantic Games games as well has me doubly excited. I'm really looking forward to seeing some more information about The Walking Dead: All Out War Miniatures Game, and I'm going to be really interested to see how the mechanics work as Walking Dead is a war game (two or more factions battling one another) over a board game (groups of players working towards a common goal) as with Zombicide.
